WHAT: a weekly, informal and relaxed art session, exploring drawing and discussing art.
Practise your skills, learn more about art and enjoy some creative time with friendly and supportive help from Caroline, in company with others. We will continue to explore different themes and artists, often suggested by students. Small classes, to create a relaxed and sharing atmosphere.
WHO’S IT FOR? Anyone with curiosity about drawing and art, and a willingness to play and explore. Some members of the group have lots of drawing experience, some are new to drawing; we all support each other. The aim is to encourage you whatever your experience. After all, no-one was born an artist!
If you would prefer something structured, try the online Essential Drawing Skills course I run for the Royal School of Needlework, aimed at total beginners. You’ll be introduced to all the fundamentals of drawing in just 2 days of online class, with further days about colour and design for embroidery. It runs online every term in two time zones: Europe and USA friendly.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: We draw almost always from life, so you’ll need to gather a collection of objects to work from. Read more about that here.
